Genuine Care, Honest Service

At Euro Centre Automotive, our mechanics are also European car enthusiasts. Vehicles are treated with the same care we’d give our own, and the work is done properly the first time. Combined with manufacturer-approved parts, premium oils and dealer-level diagnostic equipment, the outcome is European car service that holds up to dealership standards without the dealership pricing.

Genuine Parts & Premium Oils

We use genuine or OEM-quality parts and manufacturer-approved oils on every European car service. Engines stay performing as designed, warranty cover stays valid, and component life is extended where it matters most.

Specialist Tools & Diagnostics

Our Airport West workshop is fitted with dealer-level European diagnostic equipment, including brand-specific scan tools used by main dealers. Faults are identified accurately and fixed first time, with no guesswork billed back to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Transparency matters. The questions below cover what most Melbourne drivers ask before booking in. If something isn’t answered here, give us a call.

European vehicles are engineered to tighter tolerances and rely heavily on brand-specific electronics that a general mechanic isn’t equipped to read. A Mercedes-Benz needs XENTRY, a BMW needs ISTA, an Audi or Volkswagen needs ODIS, a Porsche needs PIWIS, and a Land Rover needs the IDS/Pathfinder system. Without those tools, fault codes are misread or missed entirely, service intervals can’t be reset properly, and adaptive components like throttle bodies and gearboxes can’t be coded after replacement. Our workshop carries this equipment as standard, and our mechanics have 15+ years of European-specific experience plus factory training from Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen. That focus is the difference between guesswork and a fix.

No. Under Australian Consumer Law, a manufacturer cannot void your new car warranty just because servicing is performed by an independent workshop. As long as the service follows the manufacturer’s prescribed schedule, uses genuine or OEM-quality parts, and is properly recorded in your logbook, your warranty stays valid. The ACCC has been explicit about this. Every logbook service we carry out meets factory specification, and your service book is stamped the same way a dealer would.

Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Land Rover, Range Rover, Volvo, Jaguar and Skoda. That covers passenger, SUV and performance variants across the range, including AMG, M, RS, GTI, R and S models. If you’re driving a European vehicle outside that list, give us a call to confirm we can help.

Bring the car in for a diagnostic scan. European vehicles run dozens of control modules covering the engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, climate control, electronic parking brake, adaptive suspension and more. A generic OBD reader from an auto parts store only sees a fraction of what these systems actually report. Our brand-specific scan tools read live data and stored faults across every module, so the underlying cause is identified properly the first time. We diagnose, quote the repair upfront, and never charge for guesswork.

A logbook service follows the manufacturer’s prescribed schedule for your exact make, model and year, including the right oils, filters and inspection items for that interval. Once complete, the service is stamped in your physical logbook and recorded in the manufacturer’s digital service record. This is what keeps a new car warranty valid and protects resale value. A general service covers routine maintenance items but isn’t tied to manufacturer specification, so it’s better suited to older European vehicles outside their warranty period.

Most European vehicles run on 12-month or fixed-kilometre intervals (typically 15,000 to 25,000 km depending on the brand), with the exact schedule set by the manufacturer. BMW uses a Condition Based Service indicator that adjusts to your driving conditions. Mercedes-Benz uses ASSYST PLUS. Audi and Volkswagen run either fixed or long-life intervals depending on the model. If you’re unsure when your car is due, call us with your VIN or rego and we’ll check it for you.

Yes. A pre-purchase inspection is one of the smartest investments you can make before buying a used European vehicle. We carry out a full mechanical and electronic check on the hoist at our workshop, including a diagnostic scan, road test and written report. Common European-specific issues we check for include timing chain stretch on BMW N47/N57 diesels, oil consumption and DSG faults on Audi and Volkswagen, air suspension on Range Rover, IMS bearings on early Porsche 996/997, and injector wear on Mercedes diesels.

Our workshop is at 40 Fraser Street, Airport West VIC 3042, around 12 minutes from Melbourne CBD and easily reached from Essendon, Niddrie, Strathmore, Tullamarine, Keilor East, Moonee Ponds and Pascoe Vale. Book by phone on (03) 9310 3014 or through our online enquiry form, and we’ll confirm your booking and quote upfront before any work begins.
