Logbook Servicing Melbourne for European Vehicles
European vehicles are built to tighter tolerances than mainstream cars. They run on specific oils, brand-locked diagnostic equipment, and service schedules that change by model, engine and year. A generic workshop can do an oil change, but a manufacturer-spec logbook service needs the right training, the right tools, and the right parts. That’s all we do.
At Euro Centre Automotive in Airport West, our team has 15+ years of European-specific experience and dealership training from Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen. Every logbook service we perform follows the manufacturer’s exact schedule, uses genuine or OEM-quality parts and approved oils, and is stamped to keep your warranty intact. Dealership-level work, without the dealership pricing.
What's Included in a Logbook Service
A logbook service follows the schedule set by your vehicle’s manufacturer, triggered by either kilometres travelled or months since the last service, whichever comes first. Depending on the interval, work typically includes:
- Engine oil and filter change using manufacturer-approved oils
- Fuel, air and cabin filter inspection or replacement
- Brake system check including pads, discs and fluid
- Suspension, steering and tyre inspection
- Cooling system check and coolant top-up
- Battery test and charging system check
- Diagnostic scan to read fault codes and service reminders
- Reset of service indicators
- Logbook stamping (physical book plus manufacturer’s digital service record)
Specific tasks vary by vehicle and interval. We work directly from your manufacturer’s schedule, whether you drive a BMW with Condition Based Service, a Mercedes-Benz with ASSYST PLUS, or an Audi or VW running variable service intervals.
European Brands We Service
We’re set up to service every major European marque sold in Australia:
- Mercedes-Benz, including AMG performance models
- BMW, including M Sport and i Series
- Audi, including S and RS variants
- Volkswagen, including Golf GTI and R models
- Porsche
- Jaguar
- Land Rover and Range Rover
- Volvo
- Skoda
Each brand has its own quirks. The way a DSG transmission needs to be serviced. The right synthetic blend for a BMW running long-life intervals. The particulate filter regeneration cycles on Mercedes diesels. We work on these cars every day, and the quirks are familiar territory.
Will Independent Servicing Void My Warranty?
This is the question we get asked most often. The short answer: no.
Under Australian Consumer Law, manufacturers cannot void your new-car warranty simply because you choose an independent repairer. As long as the service is performed to the manufacturer’s specification, using genuine or equivalent quality parts and approved oils, your warranty stays in place. The ACCC has been explicit about this in their new car retailing guidance.
Every logbook service we perform meets factory specification. We use genuine OEM parts where the manufacturer requires it, equivalent quality parts elsewhere, manufacturer-approved oils, and stamp your service book the same way a dealer would. You keep the warranty and skip the dealer pricing.
How Often Does Your European Car Need a Logbook Service?
Most European vehicles follow one of these intervals:
- Mercedes-Benz: every 12 months or 25,000 km
- BMW: based on the Condition Based Service indicator, typically 12 months
- Audi and Volkswagen: every 12 months or 15,000 km (long-life service every 24 months or 30,000 km on selected models)
- Porsche: every 12 months or 15,000 km
- Land Rover and Range Rover: every 12 months or 26,000 km
- Volvo: every 12 months or 15,000 km
The exact interval depends on your model year, driving conditions, and how the service indicator is configured. If you’re unsure when your next service is due, give us a call with your VIN or rego, and we’ll check.
Why Melbourne European Car Owners Choose Us
Three things separate us from a general workshop.
- European specialisation: We work on European vehicles every day. The diagnostic patterns, the common failure points, the right way to handle each brand’s electronics, all familiar.
- Dealership training: Our team carries factory training from Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, taught the way these cars are designed to be serviced.
- Honest pricing: A logbook service at the dealer often runs hundreds more than it needs to. We charge fairly, quote upfront, and never push work that isn’t due.
Loan cars are available by arrangement for customers who need a vehicle while theirs is in the workshop.

I can not speak highly enough about Ziz
Your work and honesty is unremarkable.. ill be definitely coming back to service my car. Thank you so much getting my car back to brand new!

I have owned two VW Golfs recently, my first a Mk5 GTI which needed some well overdue servicing when I purchased it, I was highly recommended to Ziz from a colleague.

I was near this shop when my car wouldn’t start. The owner past by and helped me. If he can go out of his way to help someone who isn’t paying, think about how well he must treat his paying customers. A small act of kindness, but it deserves a review. Thank you again!!

Frequently Asked Questions
We believe in complete transparency. This list of frequently asked questions will help you learn more about our services and why we’re the smart choice for your European vehicle. If you still have questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Do you stamp the service book?
Yes. We complete both the physical service book and the manufacturer’s digital service record, so your service history is fully documented for warranty, resale and trade-in.
How long does a logbook service take?
Most minor logbook services are completed within the day. Major services, or services that uncover extra work like brake replacement or fluid flushes, may take longer. We confirm the expected turnaround when you book.
Do you use genuine parts?
Where the manufacturer requires it, yes; for other components, we use OEM-quality parts that meet the same specification at a lower cost. We tell you which is being used before the job starts.
What's the difference between a logbook service and a general service?
A logbook service follows the manufacturer’s prescribed schedule for your specific make, model and year. A general service covers routine maintenance items but isn’t tied to the manufacturer’s exact specification. Logbook servicing is what keeps new-car warranties valid.
Do you service cars covered by capped-price service plans?
Yes. If your car is still covered by a dealer service package and you’d like an independent quote or second opinion, give us a call, and we’ll talk through your options.
Where are you located?
40 Fraser Street, Airport West VIC 3042. We service customers from across Melbourne’s north and west.
