Why Melbourne Jaguar Owners Come to Us
Jaguar and Land Rover sit under the same JLR parent company and share a lot of the same engineering. The Ingenium engine family, the ZF 8HP transmission, air suspension systems, InControl infotainment, and the diagnostic platform itself are common to both brands. We already service Land Rover vehicles regularly, which means we have the diagnostic equipment, the technical documentation, and the parts supply relationships to work on Jaguars properly.
What that means in practice is that when your XF comes in with a timing chain rattle, or your F-Pace throws an air suspension warning, we are not starting from scratch. We have seen these systems before, and we know where the faults tend to sit.
We specialise in European vehicles. That focus is what lets us invest in the right equipment and keep our technical knowledge current.

I can not speak highly enough about Ziz
Your work and honesty is unremarkable.. ill be definitely coming back to service my car. Thank you so much getting my car back to brand new!

I have owned two VW Golfs recently, my first a Mk5 GTI which needed some well overdue servicing when I purchased it, I was highly recommended to Ziz from a colleague.

I was near this shop when my car wouldn’t start. The owner past by and helped me. If he can go out of his way to help someone who isn’t paying, think about how well he must treat his paying customers. A small act of kindness, but it deserves a review. Thank you again!!

Our Services
Common Jaguar Issues We Handle
Every Jaguar platform has its patterns. These are the ones we see most often in the workshop.
Timing Chain Tensioner Failure (AJ133 V8 and Ingenium Engines)
The supercharged AJ133 5.0 V8 in F-Type, XJR, and F-Pace SVR models is known for primary timing chain tensioner failure, usually showing up as a rattle on cold start. Left too long, the chain can skip and cause major engine damage. The Ingenium four cylinder petrol and diesel engines have their own timing chain issues as well. Early diagnosis is significantly cheaper than the alternative.
Coolant Leaks and Water Pump Failures
Plastic thermostat housings, water pumps, and coolant hose fittings across the Jaguar range are prone to cracking and leaking with age. The symptoms are coolant loss, sweet smells, or temperature warnings. We pressure test the cooling system, identify the failed components, and replace them with OEM parts before they cause overheating damage.
Supercharger Service Intervals
The supercharged V6 and V8 engines in F-Type, XF, XJ, and F-Pace models have scheduled supercharger oil and coupler service intervals that get skipped more often than not. Ignoring them leads to supercharger whine, coupler failure, and eventually supercharger replacement. We service these to Jaguar schedule with the correct fluid.
Air Suspension Faults (F-Pace, XJ)
The air suspension on XJ and F-Pace models develops leaks over time, typically in the struts, air lines, or compressor. You will see the car sitting low overnight, warning messages on startup, or rough ride quality. We diagnose which component has failed and replace it rather than pushing a full system replacement.
InControl Touch Pro and Electrical Faults
InControl infotainment glitches, module communication errors, and sensor faults on Jaguar vehicles need manufacturer-level diagnostic tools. We use specialist JLR diagnostic equipment to read faults at the module level and address them properly, not just clear codes and hope.
DPF and Emissions System Issues (Diesel Models)
The AJ-V6 3.0 diesel and later Ingenium diesels in XF, XJ, and F-Pace models can develop DPF blockages, EGR faults, and AdBlue system issues, particularly on cars driven mostly in town. We diagnose the cause of the fault and carry out the required cleaning, regeneration, or component replacement.
What Your Jaguar Service Includes
Logbook Servicing to Jaguar Schedule
Servicing to Jaguar’s manufacturer schedule using approved oils and genuine or OEM filters. Every service includes a full JLR-level diagnostic scan, brake and safety inspection, and a stamped service book. Interim and full services covered, including the longer interval items like brake fluid, coolant, and DPF regeneration on diesel models.
JLR Diagnostics and Fault Finding
Jaguars need JLR-capable diagnostic equipment, not a generic scanner. We read fault codes across every control module, monitor live data, and run the factory-level tests needed for things like module coding after replacement, service reset procedures, and reading fault memory that generic tools cannot access.
Engine and Cooling Work
Timing chain and tensioner replacement on the AJ133 V8 and Ingenium engines, water pump and thermostat housing replacement, supercharger oil and coupler service, and cylinder head work where required. The engine jobs Jaguar owners come to us for most often.
Brakes, Pads, and Brake Fluid Services
Jaguar braking is integrated with the electronic stability, traction, and driver assist systems. We service and replace pads, rotors, callipers, and brake fluid using quality components matched to the variant. Brake fluid flushes are part of scheduled servicing and the sensor calibration required after certain brake repairs is handled in the workshop.
ZF 8HP Transmission Servicing
The ZF 8HP eight speed automatic fitted to most modern Jaguars was marketed as sealed for life. In practice, the fluid degrades and causes harsh shifts, slipping, or fault codes if it is not changed at the right intervals. A proper fluid and filter change around 80,000 to 100,000 km significantly extends the life of the gearbox.
Air Suspension, Chassis, and Auxiliary Systems
Air strut, compressor, and valve block replacement on F-Pace and XJ air suspension, conventional suspension work on the sedan models, power steering, cooling, auto electrical, and air conditioning. The everyday repairs that keep a Jaguar on the road.
Genuine Parts and Jaguar Approved Fluids
We fit genuine Jaguar parts and OEM equivalents from the same suppliers Jaguar uses. Engine oils, transmission fluids, and coolants all meet Jaguar’s own specifications, which keeps your warranty intact and your service history clean.

Jaguar Pre-Purchase Inspections
A used Jaguar can be excellent value, but these cars can hide expensive problems that a test drive will not reveal. Our Jaguar pre-purchase inspection looks specifically at the things that tend to catch owners out: timing chain condition on V8 and Ingenium engines, supercharger service history, air suspension health on F-Pace and XJ models, DPF and emissions system condition on diesels, InControl module health, and the service book integrity. You get a clear written report covering the diagnostic scan, service history, engine and transmission condition, suspension, brakes, and any signs of prior accident repair.
We are a VicRoads licensed roadworthy tester and can also issue roadworthy certificates for registration transfers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you service all Jaguar models?
We service the modern Jaguar range, including F-Pace, E-Pace, I-Pace, XE, XF, XJ, and F-Type. For classic Jaguars and older XK and XJ models, we recommend a dedicated classic Jaguar specialist who can give those cars the attention they deserve.
Will servicing with you void my warranty?
No. We carry out logbook servicing to Jaguar’s manufacturer requirements, using genuine or approved parts and Jaguar specified oils, and we stamp your service book. Your warranty stays fully intact.
How often should I service my Jaguar?
Most modern Jaguars are every 12 months or 15,000 to 26,000 km, whichever comes first, depending on the model. Some variants use a longer service interval, and diesel models have additional requirements around DPF regeneration and AdBlue. We will advise on the right schedule for your specific model and how you use it.
My Jaguar has a rattle on cold start. Should I be worried?
Possibly, yes. A rattle on cold start in the AJ133 V8 or Ingenium engines is often the timing chain tensioner, and it needs diagnosis before the chain skips and causes engine damage. Bring it in for a scan and a listen. Early intervention is significantly cheaper than the alternative.
How do your prices compare to Jaguar Melbourne?
Lower, with the same quality of parts and fluids. You will get an itemised quote before any work starts, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Can you handle performance upgrades or tuning?
We focus on servicing and repairs rather than aftermarket performance modifications. If you are looking to modify the car, we are happy to point you toward a workshop that specialises in Jaguar tuning.
